Who is Eligible for Belotero Injections?

Belotero products are suitable for adults aged 21 and above. However, individuals with the following conditions may not be suitable candidates:

• Pregnant or breastfeeding women
• Adults currently taking blood-thinning medication
• Adults with allergies to lidocaine and gram-positive bacteria
• Adults with a history of severe allergies, particularly those who have experienced anaphylaxis
• Adults with bleeding disorders

What Precautions to Follow?

The safety and effectiveness of BELOTERO BALANCE® for treating dermal contour defects other than nasolabial folds, such as lip augmentation, have not been established in controlled clinical studies.

Its safety has not been established for use during pregnancy, by breastfeeding individuals, or in patients under 21. As with any transcutaneous procedure, there is a risk of infection associated with BELOTERO BALANCE® injections.

Patients using medications that affect coagulation, like aspirin, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, or warfarin, may experience increased bruising or bleeding at injection sites. Patients need to inform their physicians if they are taking such medications.

Undergoing laser treatment, chemical peeling, or any procedure that triggers an active dermal response after BELOTERO BALANCE® treatment may increase the risk of an inflammatory reaction at the injection site.

Similarly, administering BELOTERO BALANCE® before the skin has completely healed following such a procedure may also elevate the risk of inflammatory reactions.

To minimize potential complications, it is advisable to limit exposure of the treated area to excessive sunlight, UV lamp radiation, and extreme cold weather until initial swelling, redness, and puncture sites have healed.

What are the Aftercare Recommendations?

Following your Belotero injections, it is important to take certain precautions to minimize the risk of discomfort and ensure optimal results. Please adhere to the following aftercare recommendations:

• Refrain from touching the treated areas:
  Avoid touching the injected areas, particularly with unwashed hands. Touching the injection site can introduce bacteria, potentially leading to acne or skin infections. If you suspect a skin infection, seek immediate medical attention.
• Apply a cold compress to reduce bruising:
  It is common to experience bruising after dermal filler injections. To minimize bruising and expedite healing, use an ice pack or cold compress. Bruises typically take up to two weeks to fully heal and fade.
• Steer clear of certain facial products:
  For the first 24 hours following the treatment, avoid skincare products containing AHAs, retinol, vitamin C, and any oil-based makeup. These products can irritate the injection site.
• Delay additional cosmetic treatments
  If you have plans for other cosmetic procedures, such as facials, micro-needling, laser treatments, or similar treatments immediately after receiving fillers,
